Meet Our Podcast Host: MissMunster85

At Inked Revolution Podcast, we believe the voices behind the mic are just as important as the stories being told. Today, we’re proud to introduce one of those voices — MissMunster85, a host on the Inked Revolution Podcast, and a passionate advocate for the alternative and tattoo community.

This blog is your chance to get to know her a little better, through her own words.

Who is MissMunster85 beyond the ink?

What a question!

The most honest answer is that I am a hell of a lot of things. I am a mum first and foremost, and a massive part of my work and aims is to create a life for my children where they are seen, heard, and never feel like they don’t belong.

I had a traumatic childhood, but I feel extremely lucky to have the outlook on life that I do. The alternative community provided me with a space to be messy, to learn, to not judge myself too harshly, and to be amongst people who truly understood my struggles.

Alternative music has always been my therapy. You can hear a song and, within it, feel understood — like you’re not so alone. My radio work, my writing, and my voice all have one aim: to make sure no one else feels alone.

The alternative community gave me a sanctuary, and it’s a sanctuary I want to shine a spotlight on. To give the weirdos, the outsiders, and those who didn’t follow a conventional path a voice. I’m so privileged to do that with the Inked Revolution Podcast.

Is there one tattoo that means the most to you?

That’s like asking me to pick a favourite child. Each tattoo carries its own meaning, story, and reason for being special.

The one I look at most is my “Don’t Think” tattoo, done by @spunkytats. I spend a lot of time overthinking, and it reminds me that life should be about doing. When I start spiralling into what could go wrong, I look at it, take a deep breath, and go and achieve what I set out to do.

Most of my tattoos lean towards horror and creepy themes — weird and spooky things make my weird little heart happy.

What excites you most about hosting the Inked Revolution Podcast?

Bringing light to the most incredible community in the world. The tattoo community is full of creatives — people who chose to walk a different path than the one they were told to follow.

No tattoo artist is the same, and being able to share their stories is something I feel incredibly privileged to do. I also love speaking to people getting tattooed, hearing their stories, and learning the history behind their ink.

There is still stigma surrounding heavily tattooed individuals, even today. I want to highlight the amazing work artists do — not just on skin, but emotionally. A tattoo can be therapy, connection, and a bond between artist and canvas. That dynamic within the tattoo industry is so important and deserves to be celebrated.

What do you think people misunderstand about tattoo culture?

We’ve come a long way, and tattoos are far more mainstream now, which is amazing. However, with that shift, the importance of tattoo history, proper apprenticeships, and understanding the sheer graft it takes to succeed can sometimes be lost.

I want to highlight the long hours, the work outside of the studio, and the passion artists pour into their craft — often with little reward — simply because it’s what sets their soul on fire.

The tattooed community is one of the most welcoming, down-to-earth, and loveable groups of people you could ever have the privilege of being around.

What fuels your creativity, and what can listeners expect from you as a host?

Honestly? The fear that one day I’ll die without having achieved what I set out to do.

I’ve worked ‘normal’ 9–5 jobs where I was financially secure but deeply unhappy. As soon as I followed my passions — music, podcasting, writing, and creating — I started waking up every day excited to keep going.

I’m a strong advocate for mental health awareness and speaking your truth. As a podcast host, I want to give those in the tattoo industry the space to do exactly that.

As a host, you can expect me to be honest, relatable, and hopefully a voice you enjoy spending time with — like catching up with a friend. It’s all about connection, and that’s exactly what I want listeners to feel: heard and connected.

Welcome to the mic, MissMunster85.

This is only the beginning.
